My kid is zoned for these schools and is in early ES. What bothers you about these proposed boundary changes with regards to Newport Mill and Einstein? I'm still taking it all in. I am glad our particular ES isn't subject to split articulation in any of the options.
There was some concern from Einstein parents in the program analysis thread, and it seems like here we were the only ones with increased farm rates across all options. I don't know if both of these things is as big a negative as others would make it seem, but I am a worrier and anxious in general.
I hear you. Me too! For the FARMS rates, Einstein is and will continue to be a socioeconomically diverse school, and I don't think that the projected demographic changes are going to make a huge difference (but my kid is in ES so what do I know). I will say I stressed a ton about ES before my kid started K, and now I am not stressed at all. I agree that the Einstein area is a great community. I grew up in this area and attended a MCPS high school. I think the standard MCPS course offerings (including APs) are plenty, so I am not as worried as some other posters are about the distribution of the special programs.
