Just seems reasonable to give them some time. Especially if people are saying they hope people are fired. Probably want to avoid another lawsuit ... get their ducks in a row ... I don't know. Because BCC is finally getting attention from MCPS this year. Because I appreciate his transparency. Because, whether or not you agree with the direction, they're actually trying to bring in public comment on the redistricting and improving HS programs across the board (instead of only in pockets). Because he's responsive (whether you like how he responds, is another story). Because he's having to clean up the previous superintendent's mess and that is going to take time. Because I find the focus on positive spin and finding joy and humor refreshing.[/quote]

Are you a BCC family? BCC is getting attention. We've had major safety issues and have been finally having MCPS step up and pay attention. It actually is unrelated to this court case that BCC is getting attention.[/quote]

MCPS has held safety meetings with BCC community members throughout the spring. They had district security personnel on campus supporting the BCC security in the spring. I'm not saying there are improvements at BCC, I'm saying there are improvements that MCPS is no longer brushing off the concerns. They kicked the can down the road for six years under the previous superintendent and completely disregarded concerns taken straight to the county. There was no accountability and no one was paying any attention to how atrocious a principal Mooney has been. They are now.[/quote]
