Coke has talked about lifting the hiring freeze. They need more examiners, not less. Any RIF wouldn’t touch examiners.

Coke can F off. If they were worried about backlog, they would not have allowed examiners and SPEs to take the fork, and they did. The CAO charged with RIF plans is being moved to an advisory position and is leaving. Everyone is generally miserable there (I left) and it's sad. It was once a great place to work.

The Patent reddit has been remarkably accurate, actually. So I would not discount what you read there.

Look, I just left USPTO with the DRP. I still talk regularly with my former colleagues. And I have been able to confirm a lot of what is being said there (both before I left and after). I don't care whehter you believe me or not or what you think of me. So piss off. [/quote]
