Dems can't stop looking backwards.  They felt deeply insulted by the voters repeatedly choosing their public enemy number one OVER them.  So they keep focusing on "stopping" the voters' choice.  This is a democracy.  The normal thing to do when you're sad is try to win the next election.  But Dems keep trying to relitigate past elections.

They spent the four years after Hillary's loss trying to impeach Trump.  They spent the four years after Biden's near tie with Trump (electoral college decided by only 77,000 votes) demonizing people who were skeptical of the extra 35 million votes cast that year.  And it looks like they'll spend this next four years insisting that the voters made a mistake in choosing Trump over Kamala.

It would be so much smarter to focus on the future than the past.  But Dems can't get over the insult of the voters not agreeing with Democrats' self-image as the intelligent and moral party.  Campaigning for votes is beneath them.  Shaming the voters for past insults is more like it.
