That's what this thread is about. Reputation. It's not good for those in England or with those knowledgeable in the states. No one cares about your two obscure points.  It is what it is: a school hunting for American dollars with a dozen recruiters here in the states. And looked down upon by the non-Americans once you get there.[/quote]

You're totally missing the point. High rankings in "Graduate Prospectus" and "Career after 15 months" suggest that employers see St. Andrews as reputable. How random parents on a DC thread and layman in England view a school doesn't matter.

Everyone is subject to some type of bias (as evident by the countless comments on this post). The UK league table rankings/measures and hiring patterns of top firms are the closest we can get to an unbiased understanding of the current reputation of St Andrews.
