Gross is actually an appropriate and excellent word to use here. Too bad for you that your appreciation of English is so narrow and unrefined.

Sorry you don’t believe me that I’m a parent of a Sidwell alum. How should I prove it to you? You want me to tell you the name of the graduation speaker when my kid graduated? Or how about I give you the current upper school principal’s cell phone #? (You may not know who he is, since I’m guessing you’re a lower school parent, if you’re a parent at all.)

As for my alum child, they got in ED to an Ivy. Doesn’t make it any less gross for parents to be talking on a public forum about kids’ college placement results in the crass way that you’ve been doing.[/quote]
