She needed a psychiatrist, not a mere therapist, and especially not some minister / counselor at a Christian school.  Something similar happened to my older brother when he was sent to a Christian university and developed a drinking problem, but the university’s response was “prayer cures everything.” (it didn’t cure him). He never hurt anyone, but he’s still an alcoholic who has given up on life, sadly.[/quote]
