This is it exactly. Young people would rather not vote than vote for a Democratic candidate who doesn't tick every box on their magic wish list of qualities/ideals.

You don't want to hear this, but Democrats need to find someone who not only will "speak" their language and motivate them, but someone who is strong enough to lead with common sense and moderation. No more extremist talk. No more my way or the high way talk. No more nonsense that only appeals to 1-2% of the base. Learn to read the room and cater to the majority of what people want when it comes to key issues. Stop dismissing people's perceptions and beliefs on crime, economy, illegal immigration, etc.[/quote]
