Sorry, does the DNC really think something like this is going to resonate with normal people? [twitter] https://x.com/joshraby/status/1815889888207892619?s=46&t=pauDPTlVqSRnQcIdMZswBw[/twitter]
Maybe democrats just need to talk about Kamala's record. Ohhh... wait...
Right. They don’t want to elevate the debate to politics and the issues because they know they’ll lose. Americans aren’t going to fall for a candidate being “weird” from the candidate marketing herself as the “ brat”. It makes Kamala sound like she is in 7th grade and that’s what her maturity seems like so it fits. They want to keep enjoying the fake news that they’re weird and bang couches. Meanwhile, their party allows you to be gender free or have no sexuality or have all of them all at once. That’s not weird though. Being non binary , vegan, pro Palestine, trans, BLM/defund the cops all at once is so not weird. From what I can gather, it appears Jd Vance was a progressive /Democrat and like many millennials became conservative after the progressives went too far left regarding gender and kids. Lots of progressives left the Democrat party in the past 10 years and lots of millennials and white males too but the Dems haven’t realized they’re bleeding out members yet which is why their Vp shortlists are a struggle to get anyone young. Or maybe they have realized it and that’s why they want automatic citizenship for illegal aliens.
Fact check: FALSE/ 4 Pinocchios. Especially given you must be at least 35 under the Constitution. Buttigieg is early 40s, is being vetted and would take it in an hot second. But many Dems feel he’s too young and are “not sure it’s his time yet”. They want more than mayor of a Midwestern town and 3 years as Transportation secretary. They want more actual executive government experience. Give him a more high profile position under Harris and/or have him do a term in the Senate or an a Governor, get reflected, and we’ll talk. And, sadly, the gay man plus woman thing turns of Midwestern moms. Beshear is 46 and wants it badly and has a real shot. Raimondo, Whitmer and Shapiro are early 50s, which certainly beats the 78 year old former President, current cult leader and convicted felon. IDK how genuine Wilmer's “no” was. She’s being vetted. I suspect she’d take it, but made a preemptive statement because she knows there will never be two women in the ticket. Shapiro wants it badly. And yes, the party of DEI is somehow considering Cooper, Walz and Kelly— 60 something white men. But the list is definitely longer than these 3 (and Cooper being vetted is a courtesy to NC Dems, since NC is possibly a swing state. He isn’t real, because if he leaves, NC loses the right to abortion. The Lt Governor and both house of the legislative branch are right wing. Losing abortion is the closest southern state with it for many women does not get Dems NC’s delegates. It passes Dems off, because there are options that don’t lose abortion for NC ). I guess they would be DEI picks in your mind. So everyone over 40 is old to you? I mean, I guess if you are Gen Z, it seems that way. But, the Dem ticket wants actual governing experience. The right would love AOC. But she isn’t ready. Her cycle is more 2036. Experience takes that takes time to get. JD Vance may be 39, but he has a thin resume and is clearly not ready for prime time, let alone to step up after Trump eats one too may Big Macs. I’ll take the 40-50 year olds. Or someone in their 60s if it gets the right person for their job and to win the ticket. Odd that the Rs are so into a DEI criteria like age for the Dem a ticket. Harris’s may be 60, but she looks 50-55 and has a ton of energy.
