Chapin sent one less student than Spence according to Polaris. Additionally, the girls schools’ class size is tiny compared to Horace Mann/Riverdale/Dalton. Brearley’s number is that more impressive. Spence and Chapin sent about 30% of its class as opposed to Horace Mann’s 15%. This could be an ISEE question…
Your numbers… are way way off Polaris numbers are three year accumulated I don’t know what Chapin’s class size. Typically around 100.
They were totally off!! But class size for Chapin and Spence is not 100 it hovers around the 50-60 range. If you use the class size provided by Polaris for Spence for Chapin. Chapin’s percentage ios about 10% and Horace Mann is 8%.
Chapin has 60 per year. So 7.78%. Spence slightly over 10%. HM around 8%
Polaris is so outdated. The most recent data is from 2020. Chapin has slipped to hopeless land. In 2023 they sent only 1 student to HMP. See this link: https://www.chapin.edu/academics/upper-school/college-guidance/college-matriculation-list-2023 Also, I suspect many TT have also slipped, perhaps not as bad as Chapin.
Any thoughts on why some of these TT are slipping?
