Yup. A judge ruled Wednesday that the Georgia Republican Party’s first vice chairman, Brian K. Pritchard, violated state election laws when he voted nine times while serving probation for a felony check forgery sentence.

Pritchard, a conservative talk show host, must pay a $5,000 fine and receive a public reprimand from the State Election Board, according to the decision by Administrative Law Judge Lisa Boggs.

Meanwhile in Texas, Crystal Mason was sentenced to five years in prison for submitting a provisional ballot which was never counted before her supervised release was totally over. That conviction was finally overturned on appeal last week.

I was confused (you'd think reporters would figure out a reader might have some double jeopardy questions). There seems to be one more level of appeals for criminal defendants and the DA said the appeals court that acquitted her was wrong. But everyone who showed up to comment at some public meeting the DAs office had was on her side.

Turns out there's a wild backstory to how she ended up being prosecuted for voter fraud in the first place.
