Yeah it was never in doubt she has mental illness. The question was, is a conservatorship justified or is it a violation of her rights to have no control over herself simply because she has mental illness. The conservatorship was lifted because her dad stopped fighting it and for better or worse, she has the legal right to destroy her life and lose all her money. That’s probably what’s going to happen.

None of us will truly know the truth of what’s happening to her or why her family put her under a conservatorship but she is not well and has not been since about 2007. Being out of her conservatorship won’t magically make her mental illness go away. But, she does have the right to spend all her money and ruin her life , just like all the rest of us do. [/quote]

+1  This. Britney is making some bad choices, like many in the rest of this country.  But that's her right--she earned that money at the expense of her childhood and her personal life. If she isn't hurting anyone and wants to blow her money on bad choices, that's also her right.  If that means a smaller trust fund for her kids with Federline, so be it. They're probably better off having to have the pressure to work for a living.[/quote]
