Harris is much more qualified than Trump or any other potential Republican nominee, who are all do-nothings and no-nothings. Democrats have won 3 of the past 6 Presidential elections, the 3 in which the ticket included a Black Senator/former Senator and Joe Biden. Each time many White pundits were convinced that the Black Senator was unqualified and there is no way they could win, yet the ticket won due to higher turnout among young voters and minority voters.
You cannot be serious to compare Harris to Obama? She is an absolute moron. A true case of real life imitating art (see Veep for proof). I actually wonder if she has a substance abuse problem the way she rambles (see list of some of her greatest hits above). And yes, in this case considering Joe’s physical and mental condition, I would most definitely consider who the VP is.
Obama had done nothing as a Senator. He gave great speeches but that was the extent of his qualifications. Harris has better credentials than Obama had in 2008.
The above credential/resume obsession reminds me this is a DC board, even if everyone claims to be from ‘The Midwest’. Obama had cred with many for opposing the Iraq War. Harris was almost purely a pretty face for idpol. And I’m pretty sure BHO had nothing as disturbing as Harris’s seemingly campaign-contribution driven failure to prosecute Steve Mnuchin!
Because Obama hadn’t had any executive authority before becoming President and it showed. He caved to interest groups and deferred to the Senate old guard. He may have opposed the Iraq war when he was an Illinois state senator, but as President he escalated the war in Afghanistan. He was not a progressive reformer except in his speeches.
Whereas Harris as AG for California, actually has executive experience.
Harris is terrible. Full stop.
All she has to do is appoint a functional cabinet and country will run fine. President isn’t doing that much besides making sure that quality people are heading all the important departments. She is better than the guy selling bible for $60 bucks a piece. I say this as someone who doesn’t “like” Kamala Harris much.
Voters do not elect cabinet members. They elect a president. The person we elect is the decision maker on many important issues. Joe has proven he cannot do the job (his decisions on issues the past 3 years have been horrible). Kamala would be no better - worse probably. This whole administration needs to go away permanently.
What are some examples of bad decisions Biden has made? Since at this point Trump is the only alternative, do you find him to be a better decision maker?
Just for starters: Democrats have promoted and instituted their radical open border policy. They reversed every effective policy of the previous administration. Democrats canceled the Rapid DNA policy, which verified if adults were indeed related to the children they were hauling in. These alone has exponentially increased the massive sale and rape of little children. How you can sleep with this fact is utterly outrageous.
