Nope not strange. We don't have our email either, but I've already submitted a post-lottery application to add ourselves to a waitlist for another school and received the confirmation for that change!

I think it is in their best interest to send the emails later in the day because sometimes waitlist numbers change slightly on the release day due to people gaining sibling status as a result of the lottery, and while this is a normal thing that is within the rules of the lottery and happens every year, it also tends to stir people up. So sending the emails after this has occurred, so that the emails reflect everyone's true waitlist number, will reduce the number of irate people who can point to their email and say my waitlist number was X and then look at my school and say now it's gone up to Y.[/quote]
