I think because Lana sings on one of the Midnights tracks, so she was technically part of the album. But yeah, Lana clearly didn’t want to share in that moment. [/quote]

I think it was pure awkwardness/Taylor being unable to think beyond herself in that moment. Lana was sitting right next to Taylor when they announced it. I think as Taylor took her "moment" first acting surprised and then doing handshake/hug thing with a producer on her other side, she went to hug Lana, correctly read Lana's disappointment on her face, and then thought "oh I will fix this by bringing her on stage and saying how great she is." She was just uncomfortable with the fact that Lana was more disappointed for herself than thrilled for Taylor in the moment (totally understandable), and chose to make it MORE awkward by dragging Lana up rather than just graciously accepting the award and letting someone else fell however she was going to feel about it.

It was controlling and immature and I felt bad for Lana. Honestly I felt bad for everyone involved because you could tell they were all just tolerating Taylor's antics.[/quote]
