There are more and more people, but spot numbers for anything and everything have not increased proportionally, only become more expensive. Instead everywhere is overcrowded, no matter what class, what activity, or which path, it’s always full, try outs and wait lists for everything. Not to mention In-state schools for college are more and more difficult to get into, accepting 1/3 or 1/4 of applicants, and I’m sure this is true for other states and privates as well. IMO kids wouldn’t be super stressed, if it was all only parental anxiety with no basis in reality. Kids already see this for themselves before they get to high school; that there is [b]no space for everyone[/b] - anywhere, no matter their interests. [/quote]
