The question isn’t who should run if Biden were to drop out, the question was WHO is this mythical “generic Dem” who  could beat Trump that people keep claiming exists. I always ask ppl to name someone but they never come up with a name. Posters love to say “any other Dem would be better” but never name who could be.

At least on this thread we got few names:
Gretchen Whitmer
Michelle Obama
Richie Torres
Jared Golden
Hillary Clinton 
Gavin Newsom

I'd happily vote for any of these aside from Newsom I can't stand, Michelle Obama who isn't even a politician, and HRC who is fantastic but stands no chance. I am sure most Democrats and many independents would vote for these other candidates as well. Why would they not when the alternative is Trump? [/quote]
