Earl Tom Cruise was the best with Rainman and Born on the Fourth of July. He was also great in Tropic Thunder and Interview with a Vampire. All four different from his typical hero roles such as the MI and TG franchises. I think TC can act when he is not relying on special effects and speed adrenaline. [/quote]

Agreed. Sure he's the same in all of the Mission Impossible movies, but you're forgetting how broad his resume actually is. I don't like him as a human but the man can act. [/quote]
