Because if it isn't the woman and her doctor, the definition of what someone thinks "reasonable" is is irrelevant. Pregnancy is literally the only medical condition that is the subject of this ridiculous level of legislation. Can you imagine if some right wing group decided that a cancerous tumor was "alive" and killing it was "murder" and spent years and years and billions of dollars of lobbying to try to convince people that it was?
