This show is loosely based on a book by an investigative journalist called Top of the Morning which I enjoyed - and it's about the Today Show. It's laughable to me that we are supposed to accept Alex Levy as this figure that American women are obsessed with. I love the Today Show, but I don't obsess over Savannah Guthrie. Jennifer Aniston - yes - I follow her, know what's she up to, am into her fitness and hair stuff. But not SG. It doesn't make sense that the most powerful woman on the network would be the host of a morning show who does a podcast. It's just so unrealistic I find it cringey.

And agree with a PP - Reese and her long hair would not be hosting the nightly news. Reese is not believable at this point as anything other than a famous actress. I felt the same way with her recent rom com with Ashton Kutcher - I don't believe her as a struggling single mom who can't find a date and is taking an accounting class LOL. She screams famous actress and business woman.

I think the Atlantic or Vanity Fair or someone had a headline recently, The Morning Show has a Star Problem and I agree. [/quote]
