No it's not sad, it's infuriating that there are not measures in place that force our elected officials to step down when they are clearly unable to do the job they were elected for. There should be laws that prevent 80 year olds from getting elected in the first place. Agree for the most part. I'm not 100% convinced yet that there should be Federal laws to ban people 80 and over from being eligible but without term limits being part of this equation, perhaps a law is necessary. I do think there are many people in there 70s and 80s that are still capable of performing the duties of high ranking government officials but in many cases you have to wonder how people in their 70s or 80s can possibly be the best options we have to serve in these very important Federal Government positions.
