JMU was always his 2nd choice and his 1st choice waitlisted him. UMD would have been an equally good choice for his major but even with the scholarship it was much more expensive and would have used up all of his 529 funds. Instead he was going to grad school this fall and has enough to fully cover it. Maybe he would have chosen Maryland if money were no object but it didn't really matter that he went to the lower ranked school.[/quote]
