Thank you! Sorry to sound bitter but to be frank and honest I am. I find it absurd that these tippy top students (IE top 5% of their class) can not get accepted into their state university. Texas seems to understand and will at least admit the top 6% of each class to their flagship school(s); maybe not into their first choice major but at least admitted. Also finding it telling that son is getting accepted to schools that are not test optional anymore (Purdue, possible Ga Tech). I am thrilled for all the kids accepted to UVA but I think I am also allowed to experience frustration and harbor some bitterness toward UVA. Sour taste in my mouth. [/quote]

It’s really surprising your DC didn’t get with those stats!  I would be bitter too.  I hope he ends up somewhere he loves![/quote]
