This is a strange comment.  These schools are pretty social in a way that doesn't really appeal to everyone.  I think one of my kids would love these schools and the other not so much. [/quote]

Well, funny you should mention this because kid #2 DID apply there. The thing is, they don't quite have a clue and they didn't pick up on the fact that it's a place they probably won't like socially. They wouldn't listen if I said anything...and it's their choice to make.  So - as noted - I can see a person ending up there and realizing - wow - this isn't my style. But I wouldn't look down on them for it...it's all part of life's lessons.

As with any school, college is about fit for that particular student.  Obviously, not all schools fit all students.  You should visit yourself and go on one of their tours, and ask questions pertinent to your student, to see if the school is a right fit for you.
