[/quote] It’s not, but you have to have a group of parents willing to document and advocate for transfer of the child to a special school. The law is on the side of mainstreaming so you have to have conclusive proof. I did this about 12 to 13 years ago and documented it here on DCUM. I’ve since seen a handful of others succeed at this. It was a major time suck for about three months while I met with parents, the teacher, principal, assistant superintendent, etc. I could not have done it without having major time flexibility.
