I see no evidence of that in the Virginia budget. If general fund monies are being used to support roads, there should be evidence. Regardless, the gas tax serves as a user fee. That's why we don't have toll booths on every public road.[/quote]

It's not hard to get educated. Here's an easy link. Virginia only covers 41.7% of costs from taxes, tolls, etc.  Anything else to justify your hypocrisy?[/quote]

Well we should eliminate the gas tax then. If bus riders are going to get a free pass because fares are inadequate, then drivers shouldn't need to pay an inadequate user fee either.[/quote]
