And yet as a liberal NYer he carved a path of legislative victories which enabled Dems to pickup a midterm seat (thanks in no insignificant part to horrendous MAGA candidates). He got the sausage made and that’s ultimately what matters. There’s not exactly a deep bench for someone else to play his dealmaking role within the caucus. [/quote]
