Agree 100%.  No one is starving to death in the US.  The low income population have the highest rates of obesity.  They are eating (a lot) of cheap low quality food already.  They don't need another 10 boxes of .89 cent mac and cheese. If you are going to bother donating, make it good quality food that is nourishing.  [/quote]

That’s a separate topic, really. The OP was talking about the difference between generic cream cheese and name brand. I can’t imagine there is any nutritional difference there. Same for store brand canned veggies vs name brand, chicken stock, crackers…stuff like that. [/quote]
