This whole thread is insane and 100% why I keep going back to DCUM every time I try to quit. Why are you all so put out by Booing? And why are adults involved in this at all? Also the signs do nothing to deter the boos. We have been booed 4 times so far. All Boo signs are still hanging on our doors. I have no idea what is in those Boo bags. I have no idea what my kids put in their Boo bags or who they Boo. I don't care. If kids want to exchange crap for Halloween what difference does it make to me? Do you all hate living in neighborhoods? Does it burn in your soul when kids find fun things to do?
The OP is hilarious. And implicitly answers most of your questions. Normal adults hate Booing because usually the parents who orchestrate it are crazy, like OP. If it was just do it and forget it, no big deal. But we first got Booed when my oldest was newborn and home from the NICU for like a week. No one was sleeping and he had colic. I would zombie walking around the neighborhood and Marge would be like "Oh, yeah, hey! Are you out Booing? Because I see your house has been Booed but then it didn't look like you'd done it back yet. Oh, you're not? You're not doing it? Oh, well, OK, I mean, someone left candy for you but if you don't want to participate ok. I mean, it's for the kids but if you don't want to give candy to the kids that gave candy to you that's ok I guess. I mean you could take the baby with you to the store, right, hahahaha, you have a car seat, right, hahaha" It was a blessing when the queen bee neighbors moved out and no one ever booed again. The end.
