They both looked inelegant, IMO.  I like Jill but the bow headband looked childish.  Carole looked gaudy.

Kate and William have been a couple for 20 years.  Kate kept her head down- as did her family, other than her Uncle Gary- and they were eventually accepted.  Long before MM came on the scene.  It was wrong the way Kate was treated too, but don’t tie her acceptance to MM.  It’s incorrect and it also discounts everything that Kate did since marrying into the royal family.  [/quote]

I just don't agree.  I never saw the type of fawning she gets now before MM came on the scene.  Although they did mostly give up on the commoner stuff once she got pregnant.
