Ya’ll are going to be screaming “Woodward is for DCC overcrowding” until you are senile. The fact is that Northwood expansion will do more for DCC overcrowding than Woodward will and just going down the numbers it’s unlikely that Woodward will accommodate more than 500 DCC students when it opens and that number will need to decline over time as more housing gets built in North Bethesda, which the county not only plans to do buy is also prioritizing.
Or just reading the actual stated purpose of the re-opening of Woodward  Northwood is definitely going to help with Blair’s overcrowding issue but Einstein is just as overcrowded as WJ and Blair.
They aren't going to worry as much about Einstein or Blair as much as WJ and mid-county schools. Lets be real.
What does that even mean?
I’m going to guess this person believes that Bethesda will be prioritized over everything else and that at some point the BOE will say sorry DCC we know we said all along we were going to include the DCC in the Woodward planning but you know these Bethesda kids really just need the extra space, keep on keepin on in your portable classrooms! 20 years ago, that probably would have happened, but I don’t see that happening now in today’s climate, and given the perception of the W schools vs the other schools in the county.
With covid, I'd rather have my kids in a portable. In this situation, given the location it makes sense to prioritize Bethesda and I don't want my kids bused or have to drive them cross town for a school that isn't any better than what we have nearby.
