As the parent of a freshman who will not be a straight A student it is very eye opening! My perception of UMDCP is clearly 15 years out of date. I guess we’ll stop pointing out how awesome it would be to go there when we drive through on our way to IKEA…maybe we’ll start taking drives and up near UMBC. Or Frostburg? Wowza.

A few years ago I posted something here asking how many schools posters visited back when they were applying to colleges (so 20+ years ago.)
I remember one poster said she didn't visit any colleges-her parents told her she was going to U Maryland CP and that was that.  I remember thinking "What if she didn't get in?   There's no guarantee of getting in!"[/quote]
