We've literally had 250+ years of elections without voter ID cards. Your signature was always your voter ID. There's no rational reason to change the rules now. Those pushing the change just want to make another barrier to voting.
What signature is being matched?
Serious question: Have you seriously never voted in-person? Are you even an American? You sign your name and the poll worker compares your physical signature with the one you gave when you registered to vote.
DP. I'm just going to say it: BULLSHIT. I don't know where you vote, but in VA, you do not sign anything unless you have no ID. Those of us with ID simply present it to the poll worker, they look us up on their register, mark us off, and return our ID to us. You harping on some fictional signature is just making you look like a moron.
The FBI trains people for years to discern my handwriting vs. someone else, but the volunteer poll works across the country compare signature to authorize people to vote??? I have hear it all not. I have voted every year for 20+ years and have never had my signature compared.
