Okay, I have read this entire article and I haven’t found the funny part, except for Bob’s anecdote in the last paragraph. I found it interesting to read about what was going on behind the scenes, but I can’t figure out what is funny about this article.

Interesting!! I thought the whole tone was of sort of deadpanned humor, I remember thinking it was a really humerus piece.  But you're right, it's not funny in the way a lot of these other videos etc are funny. [/quote]

Hmm, I just don’t see anything deadpan about it. It was a pretty factual story about an event that happened. Again, interesting to hear about some of the back story, but not terribly funny.

Just out of curiosity, what exactly about it made it seem so funny that you “died” reading it the first time? I’m really interested- I know humor is a really individual thing, and it is fascinating to hear about how differently people react to various situations and why.

I don’t know I guess!! I kind of imagined it in a Morgan Freeman narrator voice when it was like “the decision to take him off the air was…. Not difficult” after Bob had just been quoted as saying something like, “I thought I’d be fine, it was all my decision to stay on the air or go”. Who knows maybe I’d had a glass of wine too.
