See right there is how I know you know nothing about the school.  This family would easily find the other white, UMC, intact, educated families and their kids would join sports, chorus or band, and of course take AP classes.  Basically these kids bubble themselves and this has been the way it's been for a long time.  Many kids who go to private school for years end up going to the high school.  [/quote]

DP. Maybe some of us white UMC families aren't content to send our kids to a violent school in the hopes we can shelter them in a bubble. How are they going to concentrate on school when there are weekly brawls and thugs are bringing guns and knives to school? Even if they're not directly involved, that's stressful and frightening. And there's always the possibility of bystanders getting hurt. [/quote]
