I can tell you for a fact that I and my conservative friends are far happier than people we know who do not share our values, particularly other women. For one thing, we're not angry with the world. As religious people, we know that we are not of this world and that perfection will never be found here, nor is it intended to be. It's not that we "don't care" about the plight of our fellow citizens - on the contrary, Republicans and religious/ conservative people give far more in time, money and other resources to help others. We just know that ultimately, God is in control. And that's a great thing.[/quote]

This is yet another reason that conservatives, in general, are much happier than progressives. We know truth, we stand on it, and don't get flustered and shocked when we encounter other people who are so lost they can't think their way out of a paper bag. [/quote]
