DO. Newsflash for atheist pp: not everything about Christianity, or even everything that corrects misconceptions about Christianity, is “apologist.” That’s just you flinging around terms you think are sophisticated to try to discredit other posters without actually arguing on merits. Like me calling you a “ranting atheist” not just in response to your constant insults and lies, but even in response to any substantive points you might have.
"Apologist" is an academic term. Fine Christian biblical scholars are proud to call themselves apologists.
Yet atheist/anti-theist pp uses it as an insult and with derision. And insists on calling anyone who displays even basic knowledge of Christianity an “apologist,” even when they have no academic training as a scholar. Anti-theist/atheist pp insists on speaking for other people and defining other people, it’s not at all rational.
pp makes statements above, without providing any evidence of "apologist" being used as an insult and without any knowledge of other pp's educational status.
I am the one you call “apologist.” I know what my education is, I told you clearly, and you persisted in calling me that. What are the other terms you used along with it? Scaremonger? Zealot?
Some apologists are highly educated and well-known. but anyone who defends religion is an apologist. Also, you can be an apologist for other things -- not just religion. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/apologist Definition of apologist: one who speaks or writes in defense of someone or something Examples of apologist in a Sentence Recent Examples on the Web This shouldn’t be construed as being an apologist for the multi billionaire CEO and near-monopoly retailer that crushes competitors. — Jack Kelly, Forbes, 29 May 2021 Commenters branded Fowler a cop apologist, a racist, a quack scientist. — Phillip Jackson, baltimoresun.com, 19 May 2021 So please don't be offended by being called an apologist -- it's not an insult. And I recommend you just ignore people who call you names - they are just trying to rile you up. Just turn the other cheek. (Matthew 5:39)
