Yet atheist/anti-theist pp uses it as an insult and with derision. And insists on calling anyone who displays even basic knowledge of Christianity an “apologist,” even when they have no academic training as a scholar. Anti-theist/atheist pp insists on speaking for other people and defining other people, it’s not at all rational. [/quote]

Some apologists are highly educated and well-known. but anyone who defends religion is an apologist.  Also, you can be an apologist for other things -- not just religion.
