Limiting the number and location of early voting and dropboxes is the main issue with that point.
Biden lied. This statement is blatantly false. And, an effort to push through their bill to federalize elections. Biden: “What I’m worried about is how un-American this whole initiative is,” Biden said about the Georgia law that many on the Left have characterized as an attempt to “limit voting.” “It’s sick. It’s sick … deciding that you’re going to end voting at five o’clock when working people are just getting off work.” “Among the outrageous parts of this new state law, it ends voting hours early so working people can’t cast their vote after their shift is over,” Biden added.
He was talking about early voting hours, not Election Day voting hours.
Bold the part where he was talking about EARLY voting. Even Kessler gave him 4 Pinocchios. He had a chance to correct his spoken words in a written statement. He didn't. He lied.
“Georgia's three-week early voting period would be limited to operate between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday to Friday” https://www.newsweek.com/georgia-gop-wants-end-early-voting-sundays-put-new-limits-absentee-ballots-1570395
So basically they are allowed to vote when they need to be at work? And can't vote early on the weekends or evenings? Yeah, that's un-American.
Some states have ZERO early voting. Georgia has early voting. And, early voting on weekends. PP left out the part about the weekends. And, the 9:00 to 5:00 hours? Those are MANDATORY. They can stay open longer. And, on election day, polls will be open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
One of the biggest changes in the bill would expand early voting access for most counties, adding an additional mandatory Saturday and formally codifying Sunday voting hours as optional. Counties can have early voting open as long as 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., or 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at minimum. If you live in a larger metropolitan county, you might not notice a change. For most other counties, you will have an extra weekend day, and your weekday early voting hours will likely be longer.
https://www.onlineathens.com/story/news/state/2021/03/28/new-georgia-voting-law-what-does-sb-202-change-elections/7038406002/ You folks, and Biden, are spreading misinformation. You are flat out lying about this law. Do some research. Don't automatically believe your left-wing sources because THEY have an agenda. Better yet, read the bill yourself.
