UVA has stated they don't bother with yield protection. No need. Good luck to DC. It's hard on so many especially this year.[/quote]

Many, many  lLACs do. They say they look for “demonstrated” interest (multiple campus visits or during COVID, emails and essays very specific to the school) and may have ED2,— deadline being after you already got deferred or rejected from your Ivy long shot so now you’re willing to commit to the LAC. [/quote]
