Yup. And this why I wear my mask in public indoor spaces and thats about it. My social life is back, kids are back doing their thing, I refuse to anything more since it gets us no where. The lunatics are running asylum and I refuse to be held hostage over it. Yes we will be TOT and we are also shamelessly throwing a party.
Good for you. We are the same way. Sports 6 days out of the week for the kids. Outdoor fitness classes for the adults. Socialization with friends. For 7 months, we put the health and well-being of our neighbors first. We stayed home, we skipped entertainment, and we avoided all social situations. Then, it became clear that lifestyle is not healthy for our family. So we asked for the same consideration that we just gave them, for us. We sacrificed 7 months of our lives for them, and when we ask for the same decency and compassion in return, its met with scorn and anger. So, to hell with them. I am no longer responsible for their health. They are responsible for their own health, and I will do what's right for my own family.
I don't understand this response only because honestly I stayed home and followed all the advice not as a sacrifice for my neighbors but because covid sounds like a serious roll of the dice and I don't want to get it! It's like 1 in 5 of the people under 40 are having long term symptoms even when not all that sick. That's a scary number to me! People are.just really that confident that when they get it/ if they get it that they won't have any.issues?
You don't get it because you have untreated anxiety. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you are anxious about everything. 1 out of 5 people under 40 are definitely not having long term symptoms. Stay away from fake news. It's not good for your mental health.
Covid is going to be here for a long time. Vaccine or not. Learn to take precautions, manage through the precautions and live a more normal life.
