Sandbar sharks are bottom feeders and do not compete with the great whites for seals or larger fish (the seals are probably bigger than they are). Basking sharks eat plankton, again not competing with the great whites. Sandbar sharks are commonly in shallow water, hence their name.[/quote] Not that shallow water. [/quote]
