I saw an injured deer on the side of the road in Arlington at 11pm or so. I called the Animal control and they assured me they would take care of it. I of course, don't know that they did, but the animal control officer did call me back to verify location (I had originally talked to whomever answered the phone). I assume they do euthanize them occasionally so that they can prevent more traffic accidents (wounded deer wandering into traffic)

I haven't read the entire thread, but you bring up something I was wondering about in OP's situation.  How would the angry neighbors know whether or not she called animal control when she got to wherever she was going?  Just because someone calls, that doesn't mean that animal control's necessarily going to rush right over to take care of it.[/quote]
