Trump supporter here. I chuckle a bit when I see comments like this, knowing that I have friends and family who are Trump haters who really don't know where I stand. I let them rant and nod my head, but mostly try to steer the conversation away from politics. How will you know when you get to 100%? When it's just you and your cats?[/quote]

DP.  You misunderstand.  The PP isn’t “ashamed” of anything.  S/he simply knows when to stay away from crazy.  Weren’t you ever taught not to discuss politics (or religion) in polite company?  Or maybe it’s just that the company you keep isn’t polite.[/quote]

Nobody but my husband knows I’m voting for Trump. I like to nod and smile along with what the liberals I know say, so maybe they think I’m one of them. But I’m most definitely not. Politics just isn’t an appropriate topic in public, and I do get a kick out of knowing exactly what I’m going to do when no one else does. [/quote]

Why?  Because you have been projecting your ignorance for a long time, and we tolerated you out of politeness.

We don’t say anything when you make negative generalizations about black people or immigrants  or complain about how your taxes are too high for no reason or how government workers sit around and do nothing because you waited too long at the DMV or how you always say “so much for global warming!” every time it snows or some weird comment about how Obama hates white people or we saw one of your books from a Fox News contributor on your coffee table.
