I would agree but I can tell you I am a parent at VDA and my kid actually is one of the kids who gets the most playing time however it is a train reck right now there is no structure the practices are half assed and that Particular coach in the above comment that other person mentioned it was very accurate. You can’t believe how many people are sick to there stomachs on how this pass weekend went it is deafening and if this club doesn’t do something to change above comment is correct... half the teams will be gone and they can replace them with what ever comes to try out or they can wake up and start training and coaching properly. Not everyone gets a trophy and elite is elite there is a time and place for everything and this club is not doing what’s right for anyone involved. Start treating your good coaches with respect give them the money they deserve so that they stay and build on the talented core players they have. Oh... and something that everyone has noted VDA, stop just focusing on the boys side and put a little effort in showcasing your girls side on social media and give them a landscape that makes them feel important to.. I mean we are living in 2019 right? As for us if things don’t drastically change we are leaving. Every club has there issues but at lest it would be more organized then this BS.
It’s so interesting how differently a coach is viewed from parents. There’s a team that my DD is interested to tryout this Spring. I’ve heard from various people that he’s a screamer/teller and kids don’t want to play for him. But while watching one of their games, I asked a parent and the parent said all the kids love to play for him and the parents like him too. And the coach didn’t yell during the game. Maybe the coach changed his ways??? So we plan to attend practices and determine for ourselves.
