What is the Woodcock Johnson test? Does it test general knowledge or is it more along the lines of another IQ test? Thanks for any iinput.
WJ-III has Cognitive test(IQ) and Achievement test. The latter tests the knowledge in reading, math, writing and sometimes oral language. It's pretty common that people may choose IQ/Achievement tests together to see where the child is capable of doing (IQ) and how much he/she has achieved(Achievement). For IQ testing(especially for educational purpose), WJ-III Cognitive testing is not as popular as WISC. But WJ-III Achivement and another one WIAT (now the third version came out) are very popular achievement tests that have high age ceilings(up to adult and beyond).
