That's not my point.  My point is he lacks the demeanor for a lifetime SCOTUS appointment, the highest legal job possible.  Because they were serious allegations he got to throw a tantrum and cry?  Please.  He could have made a far better case without the dramatics but he was playing to the base[/quote]

Very calmly indeed, since this is the only honorable way. So much so, that half his advisers really wanted him to act this way! The other half wanted him to go on the offensive, and I believe that was a terrible mistake: it paints him as an out-of-control, ridiculous whiner, and taints his Supreme Court legacy.

On the contrary, millions of people saw Democrats insist that this man was guilty of an allegation with zero proof.  Guilty until proven innocent is apparently the Democrats’ MO.  It may not have been a criminal hearing, but it might as well have been.  “Yikes” is right.  That spectacle is something millions of Americans will *never* forget. [/quote]

What she said would have triggered a decent criminal investigation if not barred. And much of the evidence from that sham investigation would have come. And surely what was not considered would have also come in. He wouldn't have gotten off nearly as easily.[/quote]
