Yeah, what little sympathy I had for her evaporated when I read what the husband said to the guidance counselor.  They knew what they were doing was wrong and already almost got caught a few times.[/quote]

Apparently the guidance counselor at Olivia Jade's school was suspicious.  She had always had doubts that her older sister rowed.  And when Olivia was also recruited for crew, it raised alarm bells and she contacted USC to let them know of her suspicions. When LL's husband found out about it he stormed into her office indignantly and laid into her.  I cannot believe the gall it took for him to do that.  If I had been in his position, and knew the counselor was catching on, I would be shitting a brick.  Anyways,  somehow - God knows how, I swear this man had talent, Singer was able to "smooth things over" in such a way that USC did not investigate, and the guidance counselor sent an apology letter to the Laughlin's
