You don’t understand what it’s like to have a not redshirted young for the grade kid. My oldest went on time with an August bday and while I’m largely over it now (he’s 9), it was hard seeing kids 15+ months older than him in his grade in the early years. Contrast that with my middle 2, Dec. and Jan. bdays - IDGAF about redshirting of other kids in their grades because 6-8 months older than them - that’s nothing compared to how much older the other kids were with DC1!
