I think that sort of solution might be the most likely to lead to a positive outcome for the OP DD.  If she can’t find a sympathetic ear within the team, then it really might be time to move on.

The stuff about going to the press or a lawyer is just ridiculous.  And I’m concerned the school administration is going to look at it like a situation where a girl had a bday party and invited everyone but one girl—crappy, but not a disciplinary issue.[/quote]
