[/quote] Schools like Northwestern and Wash U track demonstrated interest and don't like to accept lots of kids they know likely won't attend and thus hurting their yield numbers. If applicants from TJ rarely enroll at Northwestern, why should the school accept them? Also, it's likely that the top 1/4 of TJ's class is not applying to Northwestern and it's the middle to bottom of the class that is applying. [/quote]
